ApoCure® Hydrogel dressings is a new technology, where exudates are locked into the hydrogel matrix and prevents that the exudates can be pressed back to the wound even when the dressing is used under compression therapy.
The Hydrogel wound kontakt - secures that the adherence is very mild and soft to the surrounding skin, and withouit any adherence to the woundbed. In contact with exudates the hydrogel will be transformed to a gel that has no adherence at all, but again it secures the moist environment without any dryness of the wound.
The water vapour permeability of the dressing is secured by a thin outer film - the water proof film secures the wound against bacteria and kontamination. Water vapour permeability secures that the moist environment gives the balance for optimal wound healing, but with an easy monitoring of the exudate amount absorbed into the dressing. The bacterial barrier minimizes the risk of cross contamination.

ApoCure® Design and function
Over the past many years there has been focus on the development of combining the features and benefits of the different modern dressings available, by combining these into one dressing. Many have wanted a dressing that can absorb, lock away the exudates, but at the same time transparent to be able to observe the wound and the surrounding skin.
With ApoCure Hydrogel Dressings we have combined all these benefits into one single dressing, but also at the same time managed to devellop a dressing with very mild and soft adherence to the surrounding skin. Due to the Hydrogel it will not adhere to the wound bed, that means that dressings changes will be performed without any pain for the patient.
ApoCure® Wound Contact Technology
The unique Hydrogel provides a lot of benefits to the wound. The occlusive moist environment, it's mild adherence and atraumatic dressings changes. Wound exudates remain in the dressings because of the polymer technology.
ApoCure® Wound exudates Technology
The highly absorbent polymer, that is incorporated into the Hydrogel secures that the exudates are absorbed and locked away from the wound. The Hydrogel itself can absorb 15 grams of exudates per 1 gram Hydrogel. This technology secures dressing changes without leakage.
ApoCure® without preservatives
ApoCure Hydrogel dressings consists of 30% water and 70% highly absorbent polymer. The low watercontent secures that there is no need for preservatives, that again minimizes the risk of gettig allergic reactions or eczema.
Drying out the wound?
If the wound should be dry or with minimum exudates the hydrogel has the ability to release moisture to the wound, and in combination with the occlusive moist environment the optimal healing properties is in place without the risk of drying out the wound.
